IABU Secretariat: The 2nd IABU Conference on Buddhist Philosophy & Praxis will be held on 01 June 2012. There are about 110 different authors presenting their academic articles on the various themes of: Buddhist Philosophy and Meditation Practice; Unifying Buddhist Philosophical Views; Teaching Dhamma in New Lands; and Buddhist Psychotherapy.
Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) is once again the very generous host for the grand event, running in conjunction with the 9th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations, from 31 May-02 June 2012.
Following the event, the World Buddhist University, in Bangkok, has requested through the Executive Council of the International Council for the Day of Vesak, as well as the Executive Council for the International Association of Buddhist Universities - to have all the foreign panelists remain in Thailand, for their own separate conference, aslo held conveniently at MCU. The idea for the WBU conference is to discuss teaching Buddhism at the university level.
